Market Data

We currently support the following assets and markets. You can search for them by their name, symbol, or ISIN number. The assets should have a history of end-of-day market prices dating back to 1990. You can also expect to find dividends and information on splits/merges.

Some assets may be listed on multiple exchanges. In these cases, we group them into a single listing by their ISIN number and choose the market with the longest historical data. You can always change the data source in the asset's Price tab.

Delisted indices are also supported, and you can search for them as usual. The closing price from their last trading day will be used for any subsequent dates.

Data Freshness

Quotes within the application are updated not more often than 30 minutes and are either End-of-Day or delayed by 15-45 minutes depending on the asset type and market.

The end-of-day prices are updated after the market closes with a delay, so they might differ from what you see on other platforms like Yahoo:

• 15 to 60 minutes for NYSE and NASDAQ
• until 12:00 UTC for US mutual funds and OTC markets
• up to 3 hours for other exchanges

We offer support for numerous cryptocurrencies, with prices obtained from various markets and always paired with USD. Unfortunately, it is not presently feasible to select a specific market source.

The most popular cryptocurrencies can be used throughout the app wherever a currency is required.

To narrow down the search when searching by their symbol, you can use the .CRYPTO prefix, like BTC.CRYPTO

Market indexes

We offer popular indexes, like S&P500 or MSCI All world. To search them by their symbol, you can use the .INDX suffix, like GSPC.INDX .

Commodities

We offer various commodities that can be searched by their name or symbol (you can narrow them down by using .COMM suffix). Price data is sourced from various markets.

Economic indicators

Capitally provides a library of macroeconomic indicators for 60+ countries, sourced from Eurostat, the OECD, and the World Bank. They can be added as benchmarks to compare your returns against real-world economic data like inflation, housing prices, or interest rates.

The following indicators are available:

• CPI — Consumer Price Index, national, monthly
• HICP — Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices, EU-wide methodology, monthly
• HPI — House Price Index, quarterly
• CBRATE — Central Bank policy rate, monthly
• GB3M — 3-month government bond yield, monthly
• GB10Y — 10-year government bond yield, monthly
• GDP — GDP growth, quarterly or annual

Country coverage depends on the indicator and the data provider. EU and EEA countries are covered by Eurostat; other OECD members (US, Canada, Japan, Australia, etc.) are covered by the OECD; additional emerging markets are covered by the World Bank.
